Polski Express

‘Polski Express’ is a free creative lifestyle magazine, in Polish, aimed at the members of the Polish community in Ireland. According to Census and Kinoulty Research surveys, at the moment over 250 000 Poles live and work in Ireland, which makes us up to 47% of all migrant workers. Polish community is one of the fastest growing ethnic groups in Ireland and for the most members of our minority, Ireland become a place of their life-choice: surveys reveal that 67% of Poles is planning to “stay in Ireland as long as possible or even for good”.

Well-integrated with Irish society, Poles also participate in life of their ethnic community – over 61% read Polish publications, edited and distributed in Ireland, on a regular basis.

Editoral Synopsis Our magazine is aimed at people like us: open-minded, curious about current political and social affairs, interested in what’s new in the music, movie, and art world. We actively participate and promote integration of Polish community with modern Irish society by media sponsorship & organising of the cultural, sport and art events.

Reader’s Profile ‘Polski Express’ is targeting this group of Polish community, which represents people at 20 to 40 years of age, living in Ireland for a longer while, well established and for whom Ireland has become their second home. This covers a wide-ranging cross section: students, graduates from Polish universities, bankers, architects, IT-specialists, industry and trade workers.

Distribution The first edition of the ‘Polski Express’ was launched on 9th March 2006. ‘Polski Express’ is a fortnightly magazine, distributed in over 50 outlets all around Ireland, including press stands in Tesco, Super Valu, Spars, Centras, Internet cafés, Polish groceries, Polish restaurants & pubs, Polish Embassy in Dublin, Polish clubs and events

‘Polski Express’ magazine is a free medium, initially printed in outlay of 8000 copies, in full colour, on a high quality gloss paper.

An important and innovative distributing channel is Internet – our readers both from Ireland and Poland can download a free copy of the current issue from our website www.polskiexpress.ie as long as from few other Internet websites, aimed for a Polish community in Ireland.
